 From My Heart To Yours!

It is difficult for us to conjure up words that will express how we feel about our friends and associates. Vesna Jones of Greek Animal Rescue - UK has spent the last eighteen years of her life building a future for Greece's animals. Her devotion and dedication is exemplary and her friendship treasured.

Our friend and "sister", Mary Alice Pollard of Cornwall's Voice for Animals - UK, tempers our frustration and "holds our hand" during especially trying "moments in time." Maria Daines and Paul Killington are an inspiration to the animal movement. Their music reflects their passion and they are our friends.. Paola Ghidotti at OIPA in Italy is a jewel and a beacon of light in our lives and my "paisana" and my "sorella piccolina".

Mary O'Connor, someone we admire so very much, is the ballast that steadies and balances everyone's "ship" and her creativity and endurance working for the animals of Greece is unbelievable. There is our beloved Nafsika, Vivi, Tina, Irene, Dora, our dear attorneys Amalia, Vasillis, Angelos, and Makis, Myra, Maria S. Helen, Marina L, Areti, Marina K, Julie, Rebecca, Tina K, Eleni, Tonia, Louisa, Sylvia, Dimitris, Benny, Marianne, Klea, Cameron, George,  Marina and " American" Marj -  friends  who have "seen it all" and "done it alll" - for the animals!.  Special thanks to Gwen Ware of "Caring For the Animals Trust" - UK for so many  years of service especially for the terribly suffering equines.

These amazing people all work miracles under the most difficult and heartbreaking circumstances and they never give up! Their loyalty to the cause of animal rights and advocacy steers them in the direction of victory. Our friend, Angela Fleming of Frontida Zoon left Greece for South Africa over a year and a half ago and yet her legacy remains visible and viable. I miss her terribly. Kudos to our friend Niko, a miracle worker who left for the UK with his family.  He is sorely missed by the good folks on the ground and the animals he so loved.

Our dear friend, Agyro Moro is a journalist who forges full steam ahead for the animals and fully believes in the old adage, "truth in journalism". Her writing inspires and reflects her passion for justice and her love for animals.

Our special thanks to our dear, dear friends, Regina and Hans and to Stefan of Arche Noah, Germany; wonderful and loyal German friends with "enviable intellects" and an inextinguishable "fire" for animal advocacy, make us proud and pleased to be counted among their friends.

There are far too many amazing people in Greece to list and thank individually and sadly there are some who will suffer if identified and they know who they are!

We cannot forget our lifelong, best friends here in New York City, who have supported our work and aspirations to elevate the status of animals each and every day for many, many years. Mary Lynne, Shey, Denise, Annie, Margaret and Naomi, and Donna - thank you always!

Without knowing each and every one of you, learning from you, strategizing with you, "fighting" with you and crying with you, our work would be next to impossible. This website is replete with the spirit of each and every one of you; your words, your photos, your wisdom, your tenacity, your dedication, your dreams, your victories, your selflessness and your courage.

Heartfelt thanks to my beloved friends,  Regina Palermo, Angelika,  Adela, Zelda, Smadar Katie, Brenda, Nancy, Linda F, Edie, Judy, Julie, Roxanna, Anna, and all the friends and activists in the US, Latin and South America and Europe who have supported our campaigns throughout the years. Viva Turkey! we stand by you, our new friends in Istanbul and Ankara and support you every step of the way. This is beginning to sound like an Oscar ceremony!

A huge hug to Jacob our genius computer tech who we have adopted along with his wife Zack and baby Amira .

Lastly and most certainly not least; our admiration, appreciation and our special thanks are aimed directly from our heart to our very precious Ali, our very good friend/brother, "saint" and the brilliant designer of this web site and voice for the animals.  Love you Ali!

God bless you, your loved ones and all our animal children!

Love, Marijo

Let us, joined together, launch 2007 into the history books as the year for  "Animal Rights"!
